In case you pay no attention to local politics (and you really should), the Michigan Republican Party seems to be in disarray. Since Kristine “f*** it! I’ll kill us all!” Karamo came under fire for allegedly mishandling funds and the abysmal Mackinac Island hoedown, the MIGOP, who can’t gather anywhere without a fight breaking out, have now decided it’s time for a change in leadership. Or at least some of them have. Or least some of them have decided it’s time to give Karamo the boot.
In the past week, warring factions of the MIGOP have voted each other off the island. Karamo is out, although she says nah. Malinda Pego was voted in, but the Karamo camp banned her from the GOP for the next 5 years.

Kristina Karamo after vote to remove her as Michigan GOP Chair: “It was not a State Party meeting. It was an illegitimate meeting, their performance has no legal standing, I am still chair of the Michigan Republican Party.”

Who needs Netflix when you can sit back and enjoy the MIGOP soap opera for free? 🍿😏 Grabbing a front-row seat to the Republican drama – it’s a trainwreck you can’t look away from! pic.twitter.com/E4TKMrBrDp

Karamo has been reaffirmed as Michigan Republican Party Chair in a vote of 59-1 at today’s State Committee meeting. If anyone other than the people in this room today will recognize this vote is an entirely different question. pic.twitter.com/Nt2WDOpIM1

As the Karamo faction of the party made this vote, the Pego faction released this statement, signed by a raft of senior party officials, making their case. https://t.co/hrsbbGnKNq pic.twitter.com/A6d4QPQR8z

Press release from the Michigan Republican Party now declares Karamo the “undisputed” party chair.
Last I reported, a lawsuit was being prepared to dispute this claim: https://t.co/CG48yUY2Hd

And that’s not all. The MIGOP is broke too.
